Rates and Insurance

There are advantages and disadvantages to using insurance or paying out of pocket for mental health services. When you use insurance coverage, your insurance company has access to your diagnosis and treatment codes and may request access to information about your clinical status and treatment progress. Based on your plan, your insurance company may choose to limit or deny coverage at any time. Paying out of pocket is usually more expensive, but it provides you and your treatment provider with the flexibility to design the sequence of treatment you both agree would be most effective. Your clinical information is not shared with the insurance company in that case.

Verifying Insurance Benefits

Please understand that it is your responsibility to obtain current information about your insurance coverage, including information that might affect your out-of-pocket expenses for services rendered. This includes information about co-pays, co-insurance amounts, deductibles, non-covered services, and pre-authorizations. Please ask Dr. Parker if you have questions about this information.
